With over 20 years of instructional aquatic experience in Westchester, it is our mission to improve every camper’s swimming abilities. Incorporating the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program, effective teachers and competitive coaches provide each swimmer with the opportunity to improve their comfort, endurance and technique in our 25 yard NCAA pool. Swimmers also learn fundamental snorkeling and diving skills to enhance their aquatic experience. To round out their day, campers participate in fun and engaging dryland activities.
Westfair Swim Camp focuses on individual skill development and water safety for all swim levels. Swimmers will be instructed in small groups of similar age, skill and experience for an optimum learning environment. Lesson plans are formatted in logical progressions guided by the American Red Cross Curriculum.
The focus for the higher level swimmers is refinement of the competitive strokes, cardiovascular endurance, starts and turns as well as techniques to increase efficiency and speed. This group also enjoys Fundamentals of Lifeguard Preparation; development of their own “photographic eye” for aiding with lessons; and video review of their personal strokes and development.
Westfair Swim Camp staff includes seasoned American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors, Lifeguards and professional teachers selected not only for their expertise in teaching aquatic skills, but also their ability to provide exceptional role models for our campers.

Camp emphasis is swimming, but additional dryland activities are included such as field games, fun fitness and a special activity that changes daily. Examples of special activities include obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, tie dying and carnival day. Campers return each year, because parents see a noticeable difference in their swimming abilities, and campers have fun in a safe environment.
My daughter completed your lifeguard program. She just completed her CPR training (again) for the ambulance corp. The instructor commented on her depth of training and knowledge with CPR that which she learned from you. Just thought you might like to know! Thanks.”
“To Kate and all the counselors at Pace…thank you for a wonderful summer at camp”
”Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for another great swim camp. My children had a blast. Your staff was great. Your swim camp is number one on their list between all the other camps they attended”
”The camp was the best thing that could have happened for my boys. Both have made the cut for youth swim team this year”
”I wanted you to know you are a ‘rock star’ in the Lifeguard world. You are very respected by pool supervisors and so my certificate is holding weight and not just being looked at as from some fly by night school”
“As you know, I came to your class as a re-certifying lifeguard. I wanted you to know there was no comparison in what I learned in your class compared to my original class. I truly appreciate your dedication and attention to detail”
”I have found Kate to be a professional, going above and beyond the call of duty. Kate maintains a great program with very high standards for herself and staff members. After attending other swimming organizations and experiencing frustration and disappointment in the past, I can honestly say that the Westchester and Fairfield Program is outstanding!”
“I wanted to let you know that we received the certifications today and to thank you so much for the course. My son has been telling us how beneficial it was for him. He seemed amazed that it could be so much better than the other courses he has taken. I was a lifeguard myself and a volunteer EMT so I appreciate the fact that you inspired my son.”
”I want to tell you my children are very happy with your camp! Your staff is very nice and work well with the children. I have recommended your program to friends”
”I wanted to thank you once again for all you have done for me over the past two weeks, and I am very confident in my new lifeguarding skills knowing that I learned them from you. I truly appreciate all your help and look forward to seeing you again”
